📚 A Special Visit from Our Local Librarian

1st May 2025

As part of our “People Who Help Us” theme, we were delighted to welcome our local librarian from Libraries NI to the nursery. This special visit introduced the children to the important role libraries and librarians play in our community, especially in helping children discover the joy of reading.

Jacqui engaged the children with an interactive storytelling session and a sing-a-long. She explained how libraries offer a wide range of books suitable for all ages and interests. The children learned that libraries are welcoming spaces where they can explore new stories, participate in fun activities, and even borrow books to enjoy at home.

We encourage families to visit their local library and discover the many resources and programs available. Libraries NI offers a variety of events and services designed to support children’s reading and learning. For more information on library locations and upcoming activities, please visit the Libraries NI website.

We extend our thanks to Jacqui for sharing her time and passion with us. Her visit has undoubtedly inspired our young learners to embark on their own reading adventures.
