Today was an extra special day in Nursery as we welcomed some very exciting visitors from Wee Critters! The children were absolutely thrilled to meet a variety of amazing animals up close — and what a fantastic learning experience it was!
From the moment the session began, the room was filled with wide eyes, curious questions, and lots of giggles. The children got to see and learn about:
A friendly toad with sticky toes
A slithery snake who was very calm and gentle
A beautiful parrot who was very noisy
A slow but steady armadillo who loved a little walkabout
A spider who was very hairy
A cockroach who was very fast
Allan from Wee Critters was brilliant at helping the children feel confident and safe around the animals. He shared fun facts, answered lots of questions, and encouraged gentle hands and kind voices.
It was wonderful to see the children so engaged — some even surprised us with how brave and gentle they were! This hands-on experience helped spark their curiosity about the natural world and gave them a chance to learn through touch, sight, and sound.
A huge thank you to Wee Critters for bringing the magic of wildlife into our Nursery. We’re sure the children will be talking about their new animal friends for days to come!
