We had a very exciting day at St James's Nursery Unit as the Translink Safety Bus rolled into our school for a special visit!
The children were thrilled to explore the Translink Safety Bus and learn all about travel safety in a fun, hands-on way. Kevin from Translink spoke to the children about important topics such as:
- How to safely get on and off the bus
- The importance of seatbelts
- Why we stay seated and hold on tight
- Listening carefully to the driver
The session was interactive and engaging, with role-playing activities that helped the children understand how to be smart and safe passengers—even if they’re only riding the bus with their family!
Our little learners especially loved pretending to be drivers, passengers, and conductors. The highlight? Honking the horn and sitting in the driver’s seat!
A big thank you to Translink for taking the time to teach our children such valuable life skills in a way that was both educational and full of fun. These early lessons in road and travel safety are so important—and we’re proud to be helping build confident, safety-smart travelers for the future!
