At St James’s Nursery Unit, we celebrated the magic of reading with a wonderful World Book Day filled with creativity, imagination and joy. Our Book Swap was a big success, with children excitedly choosing new stories to take home and enjoy. They also impressed us with their fantastic “Roll Models”, transforming toilet roll tubes into their favourite book characters with great enthusiasm and creativity.
The highlight of the day was a captivating visit from Mr Hullabaloo, whose enchanting storytelling, puppetry and music brought stories to life in the most magical way. The children were completely spellbound, and his visit helped inspire an even deeper love for reading across our Nursery.
World Book Day reminded us of the importance of stories in early childhood, and we remain committed to nurturing a lifelong love of books in our young learners.
