Year One have kicked off our ‘Splish, Splash, Splosh’ topic by learning all about Pirates. Collaborative art has been a highlight as we worked together to paint our pirate ship and ocean backdrop, mixing in sand to give it a realistic effect. We have loved making pirate potions, searching for treasure using our Bee Bots and getting into character both indoors and outdoors. Another highlight was our ‘5 senses of the Sea’ lesson, to inspire our senses poems. Everyone was very brave and adventurous, smelling and tasting lots of sea food. Keep your eyes peeled as we dive further into our topic and learn all about under the sea!
