A representative from Trócaire, Mark, visited our school. He informed us about this year’s Trócaire Box Appeal. This year’s appeal focuses on Rwanda, where floods are destroying homes, crops are failing and climate change is impacting families. We heard about a woman named Uwamahoro (28) who is doing everything she can to take care of her mother, daughter and niece. Uwamahoro’s biggest hope is to repair her home and earn a secure income. Last year we raised over £2,300. This year our school aims to raise £2,500. This amount could build a new home for a family, alongside providing them with a water tank.
