Year 7 Culture and Diversity Day Celebration
On 21st May, Year 7 proudly represented Afghanistan for Culture and Diversity Day! Our classroom was transformed with examples of Afghan money, traditional food, the national flag, and clothing.
A special thank you to Khadija, one of our Year 7 pupils originally from Afghanistan, who gave us an even greater insight into the country and its rich culture - her contributions made the experience especially meaningful.
We also visited Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 classrooms to learn about Australia, the Philippines, Hungary, and Pakistan. Each class brought their country to life in creative and exciting ways. Year 7 seemed to enjoy collecting stamps in their special passports - five countries in one day! It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the rich and wonderful diversity of our school and the wider world.
