Year 7 Final Crackers and Careers Session with Anna the Social Worker
28th May 2025
For the Year 7 pupils' final Crackers and Careers session of the year, we were delighted to welcome Anna, a parent from our school community and a dedicated social worker. Anna spoke to the class about her inspiring career, sharing where social workers can work, the qualities needed for the role, what a typical day looks like, and how she supports children through her work.
The session was full of energy and fun! Anna introduced Year 7 to some different aspects of social work therapy, including a very popular ‘noodle fight’ using swimming noodles, which brought plenty of laughter! They also got to meet Harry, her cuddly toy dog, who was a big hit with everyone.
At the end of the session, every pupil was able to share something they had learned about being a social worker. We would like to give a huge thank you to Anna for her time, enthusiasm, and for the thoughtful sweet treats she gave to the class to enjoy alongside their crackers and cheese. It was a fantastic way to end the series!
