On Friday 20th June our Year 7 children spent their last day together in St James’s Primary School. They began the day attending the Leaver’s Assembly. Children from years one to six lead us in prayers. Emotions were high when Mrs Cunningham spoke to the children and their parents expressing how wonderful it was to see the talented and kind young adults that they have become. Teachers, old and new, watched with pride as she presented each pupil individually with their Records of Achievement. Year 7 delighted us with a final rendition of the theme tune from their show, Cinderella and Rockerfella. Refreshments were enjoyed afterwards in the canteen. It was also the last day in St James’s for Mrs Lavery who is moving on to a new field of employment. We wish both teacher and pupils a bright and happy future.
